Action 27

Define sustainable mobility solutions at the regional level, including plans for the deployment of alternative fuels

ROADMAP PROGRESS

According to the 2024 GARI, overall progress in defining sustainable mobility solutions at the regional level, including plans for the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure, has been moderate. Progress has been supported mainly through regional initiatives led by the Transport Community Secretariat and the CONNECTA programme, including the development of strategic plans for EV charging infrastructure and for the road network's climate resilience.

However, the assessment notes that WB6 have not yet taken significant steps to incorporate these deliverables into domestic-level strategic documents or adopt them as standalone plans, indicating that implementation remains at an early stage.

Note: the GARI 2025 does not report separately on this action, so the assessment above is retained from the 2024 GARI.

ACTION 27 TRANSPORT_

Note: Action 27 of the first Green Agenda Action Plan (2021–2030), which referred broadly to defining sustainable mobility solutions and alternative fuel deployment at the regional level, is replaced in the Revised Action Plan (2025–2030) by Action 18a), focusing specifically on transposition and implementation of the EU Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation.
