Climate-Neutral Community Mobility Co-operatives
This project explores the potential of Community Mobility Co-operatives to drive equitable and effective electric vehicle charging infrastructure in South East Europe. It aims to establish co-op business models and pilot EV charger deployments in at least two of the WB6, engaging citizens, NGOs, and local authorities. Key activities include opportunity assessments, model development, capacity building, and pilot implementation to advance climate-neutral mobility systems. Apart from North Macedonia and Serbia, the project is implemented in Romania and Slovenia.
This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) through the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) project ideas competition, which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
