PEEB Cool
The PEEB Cool project aims to improve energy efficiency and resilience in buildings in 11 partners with hot climates across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. The project focuses on reducing energy consumption and enhancing the resilience of buildings to climate-related shocks such as extreme temperatures, economic crises, and energy scarcity. By providing concessional loans, technical assistance, policy support, and capacity-building, PEEB Cool helps develop green building projects and implement regulations for energy-efficient, climate-resilient buildings. The project supports both public and private stakeholders in transforming the building sector through financing and expert guidance. Expected outcomes include significant reductions in CO2 emissions, improved thermal comfort for millions of people, energy savings, and job creation.
