Timeline: 10.2021 – 09.2023
Budget: 588.717,00
Type: Project
Status: Finished
This project targets young people aged 15–25 from coal regions promoting green entrepreneurship and empowering them to create sustainable livelihoods in their home regions. Through education and an entrepreneurship pipeline, high school students and young entrepreneurs are encouraged to address climate change and Just Transition challenges. Supported by school administrations, local authorities, green tech representatives, and STEM mentors, the programme incorporates WWF's Panda Labs methodology, emphasizing design thinking, learning by doing, and intraregional exchanges. The initiative seeks to establish local networks of green entrepreneurs to drive economic transition away from coal dependency.

This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) through the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) project ideas competition, which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
