Integrated Forest Management along the interregional Drina River Basin
The project aims to mitigate climate change and promote sustainable development along the Drin River Basin by strengthening Integrated Forest Management (IFM). It focuses on afforestation, biodiversity protection, and enhancing ecosystem services, benefiting rural communities through eco-friendly income opportunities and capacity building. Key results include afforestation of degraded areas, improved conservation practices, strengthened regional expertise in IFM, and increased awareness of gender equality. Activities involve piloting modern afforestation methods, promoting income-generating practices, conducting research, and fostering regional collaboration. Beneficiaries include local populations, forestry workers, experts, and students.
