Green Agenda for the Western Balkans

The Green Agenda for the Western Balkans (GAWB) Action Plan 2021–2030 is a key driver of the region’s green transition. By endorsing the GAWB in 2020, Western Balkan economies committed to aligning with the European Green Deal and its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The implementation of the GAWB is overseen and supported by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), ensuring progress is tracked and regional efforts are harmonized. The Green Agenda for the Western Balkans Observatory (GAWB Observatory) was created by the RCC to monitor its progress and keep the process transparent.
