Clean Industrial Deal
The Clean Industrial Deal, adopted by the European Commission in February 2025, is the EU’s strategic framework for making clean technology and clean production the new standard for EU industry, while strengthening its global competitiveness. It builds on the European Green Deal by addressing the affordability of energy for industry, stimulating demand for clean products through public procurement and regulatory standards, boosting domestic manufacturing of clean technology, and supporting industrial transformation through targeted financing - including via the Innovation Fund and the European Investment Bank.
For the WB6, the Clean Industrial Deal defines the EU market conditions and clean production standards to which regional industries are progressively aligning through the GAWB and the EU accession process.
