Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR)
Regulation (EU) 2023/1804 on alternative fuels infrastructure1(AFIR) establishes binding minimum requirements for alternative fuels infrastructure across all transport modes. It focuses on interoperability, user information and accessible payment systems to facilitate the transition to zero-emission mobility.
Dedicated technical assistance from the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat is expected to support legislative alignment, domestic Policy Frameworks and coordinated rollout along priority TEN-T corridors in the WB6.
