Albania: Law on Animal Health

Albania's Law on Animal Health (Law Nr. 41/2025), adopted on 26 June 2025, provides the legal framework for animal health and veterinary matters in Albania, covering disease prevention and control, surveillance, registration of establishments and transporters, and the movement and traceability of animals, germinal products, and products of animal origin, as well as import/export rules. The law enters into force 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette, with its effects applying two years after publication.
