Western Balkans Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) Plan

A regional plan setting out a common approach to restoring degraded forest landscapes across Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. It was developed by the Thematic Group on Ecosystem Restoration under the Biodiversity Task Force of the Western Balkans, coordinated by the IUCN Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, under the nature and biodiversity protection pillar of the Green Agenda. The plan draws on the Restoration Opportunities Assessment Report, which examines forest condition, biodiversity vulnerability, forest cover change and disaster-prone areas across the region. It was prepared under the ADAPT 2.0 initiative on nature-based solutions and is funded by Sweden.
