Serbia: Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises 2023-2027

The Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises for the period 2023–2027, with an accompanying Action Plan for 2023–2024, positions the SME sector as a driver of sustainable, inclusive economic development, structured around four objectives: a better business environment with fewer barriers; innovation, digitalisation, and green transformation; stronger competitiveness on domestic and foreign markets; and greater inclusiveness, including women's entrepreneurship. One measure specifically supports SMEs in adopting renewable energy, environmental compliance, and circular economy practices, framed as a contribution to the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
