CBD COP16 resumed session: finalised KMGBF monitoring indicators and templates for the seventh domestic-level reports

Monitoring framework for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (CBD/COP/16/L.26/Rev.1) is a draft decision from the resumed sixteenth session of the CBD Conference of the Parties, held in Rome, 25–27 February 2025. It endorses technical updates to headline and binary indicators tracking the Framework's 23 targets, adopts a list of binary indicator questions, and notes optional disaggregations and voluntary indicators for domestic use. It also urges Parties to strengthen monitoring systems ahead of the seventh domestic-level report due February 2026, addressing capacity gaps.
